DIVAZ, Cairo Photo Week

I am honored to share that I was selected by DIVAZ to be represented at Cairo Photo Week 2023, held at Cinema Radio, a historic space at the heart of Egyptian art, culture, and cinema. Egypt has always had a profound influence on me: its people, its cultural depth, and its artistic legacy across the Arab and MENA region continue to shape the way I see and create.

What moved me deeply was discovering that the team chose to exhibit three of my photographs instead of the two originally requested, and even placed one of them on the cover of the magazine’s first edition. Seeing my name and my work featured so prominently was more than an achievement; it was a moment of recognition that shifted how I value my journey, my craft, and the effort invested through the years.

The messages I received during and after the exhibition were overwhelming in the most inspiring way. Each comment, each connection, and each person who reached out reminded me why I create, to communicate, to resonate, and to leave an emotional imprint.

There is a moment I particularly remember from that period. I was in my hometown, attending an official meeting regarding my military service situation. During the conversation, I mentioned that I had work displayed in an exhibition in Cairo. Instead of dismissing it, the general acknowledged its significance and encouraged me to continue pursuing my creative path while handling my responsibilities properly.

I shared my portfolio and provided all required documents, and the exchange remained respectful and constructive. It was one of those unexpected moments where art quietly supports you in life, not as an excuse, but as a testament to commitment and direction.

My journey as a creative and content creator has been built on exploration, experimenting with styles, discovering new dimensions, and continuously evolving. Cairo Photo Week 2023 marked a pivotal milestone in that journey. It reminded me that every piece I create carries a story, and every opportunity adds a chapter to who I am becoming.

I remain grateful to DIVAZ, to the organizers of Cairo Photo Week, and to everyone who took a moment to see my work, reach out, or believe in my vision. This is only the beginning, and I look forward to being part of many more exhibitions and creative experiences ahead.
